„Entangled” by Maria V. Ciletti is not just a coming out of the closet novel for an almost 18 years old graduate in love with her former teacher, but it has a certain profoundness of inter-human relationships, I mean treason : how a woman that supposed to have loved another woman harms her by risking her job as a teacher, patience : on how a young girl develops into a young woman, yet her feelings still persist, judgemental : on how some Christian small groups treat homosexuality, mainly lesbianism. Hayden Crissman is the almost 18 years old graduate who is eager to find a purpose in life after highschool, as for the summer she leaves her native town for Eerie to work in a fast food with her best friend, Cali. Apparently, accidentally, she and Cali drop down at the Zone, the local gay bar, yet Cali is there for a purpose and Hayden surprisingly sees there Miss Spencer, her former teacher, who looks pretty bad, disappointed and hopeless. Hayden is secretly in love with Abb...
I have been watching lots of short films with lesbian content, yet none has touched me so much like "Camp Belvidere" with Astrid Ovalles and Molly Way. It’s the story line and the strength of the characters that attracts and their clash ignites the burning flame between them. Loved the fact that’s set in the 1950’s in a girls’ camp, we have so little books, movies or any written evidence with lesbian content of that period that I actually grab every piece I find, yet I write only of the relevant."Am I making you nervous?, Gin says." "Camp Belvidere" is the story of Gin (Astrid Ovalles) and Rose (Molly Way), who meet at the girls’ camp Belvidere. Gin is the camp’s nurse, she’s in her 30’s, a beautiful, lonesome woman who seems to hide a certain secret, it also can be seen that she read and traveled a lot. Following the road less taken of lesbianism during the 1940-1950’s, Gin seems sad and hopeless towards any romantic interest, somehow asleep in her fe...
Leo Buscaglia “Dragostea este mangaiere in tristete, liniste in vacarm, odihna in oboseala, nadejde in disperare.” Marion C. Garretty “Pretuim dragostea. Ea ne caleste, ne ofenseaza si ne ucide. Se infiltreaza in mortarul tuturor zilelor noastre. Ne hraneste pasiunea, ne umple fanteziile, ne inspira arta.” Diane Ackerman “Din orice or fi facute sufletele noastre, al meu si al tau, sunt la fel.” Emily Bronte “Si iubirea adevarata tine cu blande maini inimile pe care le impleteste.” Autor necunoscut. “Rasfir zilele...
